Love that you included May. If you have not seen Stop Motion, that is a great film in it's own right, but there were things about it that reminded me of May a little.
Thanks for the list, as well as the shout out (at least I'm pretty sure that was me, lol). I've seen a few of these - funny enough, I recently read Gerald's Game, and plan to rewatch the movie. A lot of the ones I haven't seen sound intriguing, especially The Vanishing and The Tale of Two Sisters.
As far as twists that blow The Sixth Sense out of the water, I think the reveal about the Bent Neck Lady in The Haunting of Hill House is extremely effective and well done. I just kept repeating "No. No!" At my screen after watching that particular episode.
